About Welsh Solar
Choosing a solar installer is not just about getting the lowest price. It is about choosing a team you can trust to specify the right system, install it safely, and stand behind their work for decades.
Welsh weather is unique. Coastal salt air, frequent rain, strong winds in upland areas, and shorter winter days all influence how a solar system should be specified. Our designs account for local irradiance levels, prevailing wind loads on roofs, and seasonal generation patterns, so the system you receive is not a generic package but one tuned to where you live.
We use marine-grade fixings on coastal properties, reinforced mounting systems for high-altitude sites, and modules with proven performance in low-light conditions. The result is a system that performs reliably right across the country, from Anglesey to the Severn estuary.
Welsh Solar is a Welsh business. Our surveyors, installers, and electricians live and work in the communities we serve. That means faster response times, genuine local knowledge of building styles and planning quirks, and the reassurance that we will still be here in ten years to honour our workmanship guarantee.
Every job is overseen by a named project manager who is your single point of contact from initial enquiry through to final commissioning. There are no call centres and no being passed between departments.
We have refined our process over years of installations to make it as smooth and transparent as possible. Most domestic projects are completed within four to six weeks of accepting a quote.
A qualified surveyor visits your property to assess roof condition, orientation, shading, electrical infrastructure, and your energy usage. We measure, photograph, and discuss your goals before designing anything.
Using your survey data and historical energy bills, we model performance with industry-standard software. You receive a clear written proposal showing expected generation, savings, payback period, and a fixed total price.
We handle DNO applications, MCS notifications, and any planning queries on your behalf. For commercial projects, we coordinate with structural engineers and building control where required.
Most residential installations take one to two days. Our team arrives on time, protects your property, and works to MCS and NICEIC standards throughout. You will not be left with rubbish or unexplained mess.
We test every component, set up monitoring, and walk you through how the system works. You receive a full handover pack with certificates, warranties, and instructions for claiming the Smart Export Guarantee.
Our relationship does not end when the scaffold comes down. We offer optional maintenance plans, remote monitoring, and priority repair response for the lifetime of your system.
