Inside a typical Welsh Solar installation
Every installation in our gallery follows the same five-step process: survey, design, installation, commissioning and handover. We never subcontract, we never cut corners and we never leave site until the customer is happy.
Behind every photo is a meticulous installation routine: scaffolding erected the day before, panels and inverters delivered direct to site, MCS-certified engineers on the roof, electricians at the consumer unit, and a designer remotely monitoring the commissioning. Most domestic projects take 6-8 hours of on-site work, plus a couple of hours of commissioning and customer handover.

Recent project highlights
Cardiff Victorian terrace – 4kW + 5kWh
A 4kW JA Solar system installed on a Riverside Cardiff terrace with shared chimney and party-wall constraints. Used an east-west split panel layout to maximise generation and avoid neighbour shading. Battery sited in the existing under-stairs cupboard.
Annual yield: 3,680kWh. First-year bill saving: £1,180.
Newport logistics warehouse – 120kW
A roof-mounted 120kW system on a 6,500m² warehouse using JinkoSolar Tiger Neo panels and three Solis 50kW commercial inverters. Designed and installed in a four-week window without halting tenant operations.
Annual yield: 105,500kWh. CO₂ saved per year: 22 tonnes. Payback: 5.2 years.
Pembrokeshire primary school – 50kW
A 50kW pitched-roof installation at a rural primary school. Combined with a 30kWh GivEnergy commercial battery for evening lettings and a 22kW EV charger for staff. Live monitoring dashboard installed in the school hall as part of the curriculum.
Annual yield: 44,000kWh. Annual saving: £8,500. Funded through Welsh Government low-carbon schools grant.
Snowdonia off-grid farmhouse – 8kW + 15kWh
An 8kW Longi Hi-MO 6 system on a remote farmhouse with no mains connection. Paired with two 7.5kWh GivEnergy batteries and a 6kW DC generator for winter backup. Project required helicopter access for materials.
Fully off-grid since installation. Diesel generator usage reduced by 95%.
A snapshot of the work we do across Wales
Every installation we complete tells a different story. Some homeowners come to us because they want to reduce their dependence on the grid. Others are motivated by the environmental benefits of generating their own clean power. Many are simply tired of watching their electricity bills climb year after year and want certainty over their future running costs. Whatever the reason, our job is to design a system that fits the property, the budget, and the long-term goals of the people who live or work there.
The projects you see on this page represent only a small selection of the hundreds of installations we have completed across Wales. From tile-roofed terraces in Cardiff and Swansea to slate cottages in Snowdonia, agricultural barns in Powys, and commercial roofs across the south Wales valleys, we have worked on virtually every kind of building you will find in this country. That breadth of experience matters, because no two installations are quite the same.
Domestic projects
Our residential work ranges from straightforward four-panel systems on small homes to large arrays with battery storage and electric vehicle charging on detached properties. We have particular experience with listed buildings and homes in conservation areas, where careful design and discreet panel placement are essential to meeting planning requirements without sacrificing performance.
Commercial and agricultural projects
For business customers, we have installed everything from compact rooftop arrays on small office buildings to substantial systems on industrial warehouses and farm sheds. Agricultural projects often involve interesting design challenges because of building orientation, roof material, and the need to integrate with existing electrical infrastructure such as parlour equipment or grain dryers.
